Ferris Wheel
The Ferris Wheel at Tulip Time in Holland, MI this spring. Shot on a Mamiya 645E with 80mm lens and Fuji 100 speed 120 film. I'm very happy with how this photo turned out! Scanned from the negative and the only manipulation I did was run an Unsharp Mask to sharpen the scan up (scans always come out a little soft for me), and then used the Heal Tool to clean up a little dust.
Night Photography #2
This was the only other shot that didn't get blurred (no cable release!) the other night. Shot on Lake Michigan on 9/1/06 at James St. Beach. For some reason I got a lot of red cast on the shots from that night. This is my first attempt at night photography, so I have a lot to learn!
Tweaked the levels in Photoshop substantially to get the color to look like what my brain was seeing. I think the trees help this shot dramatically, but any opinions/tips are always appreciated.
Night Photography #2
Went out to the beach @ Lake Michigan on 9/1/06 and tried my hand at some night photography. There was a "half moon" and it had just set when I took this photo. Looks a lot like a sunset. I don't like the blur of the stars, and I had to do a lot of levels tweaking to get the colors somewhat accurate.
I think exposure was around 4-5 minutes. No cable release, so I set the *istDL on Bulb and held the shutter release button. Luckily, no blur. Anyway, let me know what you think.
