Takin' Care of Business
I was surprised most of the contestants were college aged girls (in fact, most of the artists were in culinary programs at their colleges), and that they were quite adept in the use of chain saws!

Bald Eagle fishing at Lake Mac.
Went out to lake Mac to see if we could spot any eagles. Yep, I saw two.
I love the intense look of an eagle. I don't like the cluttered, ugly background.

A little note for Judah
Isaiah 40:31

will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

January sunset at Big Red (late)
Another image from my outing to Holland State Park on Saturday.
This one is from late in the evening ... about 15 minutes after "true" sunset (and about 25 minutes after the sun was swallowed by that cloud bank).

January sunset at Big Red (a little later)
I have to admit that I'm really lovin' the extra dynamic range that I'm getting out of RAW shooting. Even without doing HDR, I can still preserve some detail in lighthouse shots like this ... rather than having everything go into silhouette.
